The app
Dictea is a free, open-source desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux. Press a shortcut, speak naturally, and your text is transcribed, cleaned up by an LLM, then pasted wherever your cursor is.
It works with several transcription and model providers: OpenAI, Gemini and Voxtral.
Why this project
A fast, unobtrusive native app written in Rust: proof that applied AI isn't limited to the web.
